Beginnings

Bike events are fun.
Getting together with a close group of friends - of varying skills - and attacking a challenge head on makes for some great campside stories. Everyone has their own suffering, their own internal struggle, and their own triumph.

Haut was borne from an event like this.
A group of us had taken on one of the hardest one day cycling challenge events in the world - skipping across the Snowy Mountains of Victoria, Australia. Up and down some absolutely brutal climbs, all in the pursuit of fun and experience.

As we crossed the finish lines at various times of the afternoon, we were unceremoniously handed our participant finishing jerseys. A great little keepsake of the event, but not the most stylish apparel in the wardrobe.
We wanted something that would be a subtle nod to the event, a wink between people that know. Which is where the first "Places We've Been" shirt came from.
Mount Hotham and it's listed stats were a reminder of the remarkable feat we'd all accomplished.

The Places We've Been holds a unique space in all our hearts.
They are the places that we've been lucky enough to travel to and experience from the small saddle of a bike. This initial launch is the tip of where we will take the range.
